The syllabuses presented here represent pre-made examples of how the New Parade series (from Pearson/Longman) can be applied through a well-organized syllabus system.
The syllabuses here cover all units in all 6 books of the series, and reflect application in five day weeks over 3 20-day teaching session/ months for each book. The syllabuses can be downloaded as excel spreadsheets (with eveything for one book covered in the one file) or as individual session PDF pages. For teachers looking to apply the Parade series according to a different session make up (eg., 3 days per week over a 12 day session/month), these files can represent a model and a starting point before applying the session templates provided here.
The third syllabus/month for each book here also incorporates time to apply tests from the Cambridge Young Learner English Test Suite (see more details located here). The three levels of these tests match up fairly well with the language aims of the Parade books, and can make a handy external checking system to see how proficient students are in a general sense. Alongside the file downloads in the chart below are links to scope/ sequence summaries for each book from the Pearson/Longman companion site and links to CYLE test examples (in PDF format) from Cambridge ESOL online.
