World Adventure Kids 2-1 (Doctor Darkleaf / Tomb of the Pharaoh) is an interactive digital e-book designed for delivery on desktop computers and tablet devices. It targets readers aged 9-12, including struggling readers and ELLs.

In addition to the fabulous interactive format allowing the readers themselves to act as the central controlling character in the stories, WAK introduces subject specific content (geography, science, history, etc.) in a natural and fun way and really challenges readers to use some critical thinking skills. Whilst enjoying their adventures, readers will be exposed to issues relevant to rainforest and wildlife conservation, global warming, culture, history and basic archaeology.

Vivid illustrations (provided by the talented Declan Walsh) accompany the text all the way through the stories, adding to the reading and adventure experience.

WAK 2-1 is a free download. Yes, that's right: free.
